Let Me Tell You How To Fix The Cleveland Browns

dennis diceAug 2, 2009

Listen I am no genius at writing or am I a genius at creating a great article. But, what I do know is I can fix the Cleveland Browns and at least make this team win at least half there games.

You asking yourself why should I read this article from the Avg Joe who proclaims to be a Huge Browns fan. Don't all Browns fans think they can do better than the current GM or Coach? I will explain and I would love some of your feed back from what I think will make the Browns overcome another horrid season. Mankok {coach/gm} is how I refer to these new Clowns I mean Browns as my comments go on.

First off I get the New Browns Regime retaining Da and Quinn. Obviously the new regime wants to see what the hype is  with these two quarterback's. But, If the new regime is smart they will ditch one of the two quarterback's which I believe is Anderson. Hopefully they can pull off a trade with a team in need maybe a recent injury in Minnesota with Tavaris Jackson might spark up some trade talks. Indeed if this happens I think you sign a veteran Qb who can quickly learn the system. Bret Ratliff isn't ready to relish the role as a number two, just yet. So with that said you all understand I do believe Quinn is the answer at Qb. No i'm no Quinn homer or into what he looks like he is a leader and this kid needs a shot, which I believe he will grasp quickly in camp. The arm strength? Have you seen his arm? I say if Jake Delhomme of the Carolina Panthers can start in the NFL than there is no reason Quinn can't either. So please put the Arm strength bull crap to rest!

Now since we past the obvious question on Who should be the Quaterback of the Browns lets focus on other issues. I believe Jamal Lewis is past his prime and is just keeping the spot warm for Jerome "The Ghost" Harrison! Yea Yea the old regime questions his blocking ability But, do all good backs block great anyways? Harrrison deserves a shot at being the man. This kid is going to be a solid back in the NFL. The Ghost set many college rushing records and could do the same in the NFL! Harrison is my back of choice and the James Davis kid could be a sleeper. So you see who my Running back is. Are you done with my post? It gets even more crazier!

The Offensive Line is not a weakness! I feel as long as Thomas and Steinbach are healthy and control the left-side we will be fine. Also, Alex Mack was a solid safe pick! This kid will anchor line for years as long as they don't deal him before he becomes a star like they did with Jeff Faine. Ryan Tucker is a veteran who is solid and with St.Clair and Womack adding more Veteran depth to the Oline this line is the best we have had since returning in 1999.

The Widerecievers of the Browns is a glaring hole. I do see Robiskie being a true number 2 like a Langhorne But, I question everythmg after that. Blow it up and start over! Edwards in my opinion is a cancer just waiting to happen. I don't want him here and can't wait for him to go! Robiskie is the only guy worthy of having a solid career on thsi team! Crazy you say> NOT!

Te's is a mess! Trading Winslow was a huge mistake should of traded the Cancer Edwards and the Browns are now light years away from a solid Tight end!

Overall this offense is going to be a good group when Harrison gets his shot and with Quinn at Qb and a Healthy Oline.

The Defense might be the best unit yet! I believe this is a top 15 defense this year! Yea you read it! A TOP 15 DEFENSE! TELL GROSSI FROM PLAIN DEALER ABOUT THAT!

The Browns have depth at every position except Safety! The Dline is and will be outstanding if they are healthy! Shaun Rodgers is better than Haynesworth of the Skins and he will prove that once again in 09! Corey Williams, Robaire Smith, Kenyon Coleman will provide solid depth along side Rodgers. Shaun Smith you ask is a waste of talent and does not belong on this roster! Ovreall this Dline has the proper depth to be solid in 09.

As for the Linebackers there is potential everywhere. Dqwell and Barton will be solid players in the Maginin era! Dwqell is a probowl caliber Linebacker and he will show that in 2009. Leon Williams is a nice addition behind this group. As for the outside the depth is there But, Way to much youth! Wimbeley has the potential for 10 sacks season But might have reach his potential. If anyone is waiting in the wings to explode is Alex Hall! This kid is going to be a solid NFL pro and Savage gets credit for getting this kid! Bowens is a savoy veteran But, insn't great depth on the outside. Browns are lacking another Veteran to help out.

The cornerback depth is excelllent!!!! Ahhhh some of you are surprise? Wright and Mcdonald and Ivy and Hood will give the Browns excellent depth! I look forward to Eric Wright 2nd year he will be a solid pro!

The Safeties might be the biggest hole on this team and with a 3-4 defense might be the missing key that makes this defense in to a top 10 unit! Elam from the jets will provide more speed and he looks like he will be solid in Magaini scheme and Magani is high on this kid! Will leave that alone. Mike Adams provides depth at either side at Safety! Brodney Pool is the missing link! He is the Biggest issue this team will have in 2009. He doesn/t scare anyone and is not a safety he is a nickel or dime corner playing safety! The Browns need a true Safety who will scare you! Remember Bryan Russell go futher back remember Eric Turner? Yes the Browns are in need and I hope "MANKOK" Realizes this is the biggest need!!

Hopefully this team can have a solid 2009.  I love to see Taylor Mays from USC wearing a Browns uniform in 2010! Yea I'll say it the Browns need a play maker and its not Edwards its not Cribbs not even Quinn its starts at the Safety position! Call me crazy But, Come back to me after week 17 and disagree with me! I wish Lerner and Mankok would read this post maybe then the Browns would get there Bleep together!!

Taylor Mays should be the our first pick in 2010 draft!!
