"The Chargers reinforced the offensive line Saturday, promoting center Jeff Baca to the active roster from the practice squad. In doing so, they had to place punter Mike Scifres on the reserve-injured list with a shoulder injury suffered in Week 14.

After the game, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald noted Scifres was wearing a sling to support his arm.
Coming into Week 14, Scifres punted the ball 54 times, averaging 45.7 yards a punt and boasting a 39.5-yard net average.
