Colin Kaepernick, Michael Crabtree, Anquan Boldin Post-Week 14 Fantasy Reaction
The San Francisco 49ers continue to struggle, suffering arguably their worst loss of the season Sunday to the Oakland Raiders by a score of 24-13. The team's offense had difficulty moving the ball in Week 14, accumulating just 248 total yards of offense. As a result, quarterback Colin Kaepernick and wide receivers Michael Crabtree and Anquan Boldin left their fantasy owners chock-full of disappointment.
Here's a look at how the trio fared against Oakland:
| Kaepernick* | 18/33 | 174 | 1 | 2 | 9 |
| Crabtree | 14 | 9 | 56 | 0 | 5 |
| Boldin | 9 | 4 | 54 | 0 | 5 |

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Kaepernick continued to struggle with his accuracy Sunday, throwing for less than 200 yards for the second consecutive game, tossing one or fewer touchdown passes for the seventh consecutive game and recording at least one pick in his third straight game. Those aren't good numbers for any NFL quarterback, let alone a fantasy starter. Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman summed the quarterback's play up perfectly:
It's officially time to declare San Francisco's signal-caller a bench player for fantasy purposes.
Crabtree's production has suffered as a direct result of Kaepernick's poor play. He was targeted a team-high 14 times, which happens to be the receiver's only saving grace—he's garnered at least seven targets in 10 of his 13 games this season. Still, he's a risky fantasy play due to his quarterback's erratic play. Fantasy owners in need can still consider Crabtree as a last-ditch flex option.
Boldin is in the same unfortunate scenario as Crabtree. He was targeted nine times Sunday, good enough for second on the team; however, he only reeled in four of those passes. Boldin's usage has been sporadic throughout the season, but he should continue to be considered a flex option due to his generally high ratio of completions to targets.
