Andre Williams, Rashad Jennings' Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 14

Timothy RappDec 7, 2014

Based on how accommodating the Tennessee Titans have been to opposing running backs this season, it was safe to assume that a New York Giants running back would have a big afternoon against them. But with Rashad Jennings hobbled for much of the week, it was unclear which running back that would be.

Andre Williams quickly answered that question for everyone.

The rookie exploded on Sunday, rushing for over 100 yards and scoring a touchdown. Meanwhile, Jennings—still clearly less than 100 percent—barely saw the field.

Still, when both of these players are healthy Jennings is the preferred option and lead back for the Giants. While there isn't much (if any) drop-off between the two players in the running game, Jennings is far superior in the passing game, both as a receiving target and blocker.

Jennings has battled injuries all season, however, so he must be monitored each week very closely. If he plays, he's generally an RB2, though upcoming matchups against Washington and St. Louis aren't great.

At this point, Jennings is a flex for the duration of the playoffs, though if he can't play due to injuries Williams is a viable starter in his stead.

Hit me up on Twitter—I'll answer your fantasy questions and tweet some corny jokes, too. It's more fun than being a running back against the Tennessee Titans.
