Emotions are running high in the NFC South as every team fights for the division title. Early in Sunday's divisional showdown between the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints, things got out of control quickly when tempers flared.

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton scored a two-yard touchdown midway through the first quarter to give his team a 16-0 lead.

Then, as he typically does, Newton broke out his Superman celebration. Saints linebacker Curtis Lofton took exception to it.

From there, a huge fight broke out behind the end zone.

Carolina tight end Brandon Williams was ejected for his role in the scrum.

The Panthers made the ensuing extra-point attempt to take a 17-0 lead.
