
USMNT Watch: Alejandro Bedoya and Aron Johannsson Lead the Way
The fortunes of many Yanks abroad continued to take a turn for the better this weekend as United States men's national team stars Alejandro Bedoya and Aron Johannsson both tallied.
Conor O'Brien was also on the scoresheet in the Austrian Bundesliga, and Sacha Kljestan picked up an assist.
On the injury front, Joe Gyau continued his strong comeback from injury, but Terrence Boyd has suffered what could be a significant setback.

The English Premier League Boys
Jozy Altidore got his first league start of the season and went 70 minutes in Sunderland's 0-0 draw with Liverpool. However, he also finished as WhoScored.com's lowest-rated starter for Sunderland.
Geoff Cameron started at holding midfielder and went the distance for Stoke in their 3-2 win over Arsenal.
Tim Howard made two saves in Everton's 1-0 loss to Manchester City.
Brad Guzan and Aston Villa take on Leicester later on Sunday.
Ze Germans
John Anthony Brooks started and went the distance for Hertha Berlin in their 3-2 loss to Borussia Monchengladbach. Fabian Johnson came off the bench for the last six minutes of the contest for 'Gladbach.
Joe Gyau continued his comeback from injury with Borussia Dortmund II this weekend. He played the final 30 minutes of their 0-0 draw with RW Erfurt.
Julian Green did not make the matchday squad for Hamburger SV this weekend.
Timmy Chandler and Eintracht Frankfurt take on Werder Bremen later on Sunday.
In Bundesliga 2, Terrence Boyd was stretchered off in the 37th minute of RB Leipzig's 1-0 loss to Ingolstadt. Yanks Abroad reported after the game that it was the same knee Boyd had injured in the preseason:
Alfredo Morales played 90 minutes for Ingolstadt.
Andrew Wooten started and played 63 minutes of Sandhausen's 3-1 win over Fortuna Dusseldorf.
Bobby Wood's 1860 Munich play on Monday.
In the English Championship
Brek Shea played the final 19 minutes for Birmingham in their 1-0 loss to Blackpool. It was the first appearance by Shea for the Blues in more than a month. Jonathan Spector is still out injured for Birmingham.
Tim Ream went the distance at left-back as Bolton tied Reading 0-0. Danny Williams started for Reading and played 85 minutes.
Eric Lichaj started and played all 90 minutes at right-back as Nottingham Forest drew Charlton 1-1.
Emerson Hyndman didn't get off the bench for Fulham this weekend.
Elsewhere in Europe
Aron Johannsson started and scored in AZ Alkmaar's 2-0 win over Go Ahead Eagles.
Alejandro Bedoya scored on a wonderful strike in Nantes' 2-1 loss to Paris Saint Germain.
Rubio Rubin started and went the distance in Utrecht's 4-2 loss to Heracles.
Sacha Kljestan started but came off at the half in Anderlecht's 4-2 loss to Royal Mouscron-Peruwelz. Midweek, he picked up an assist in Anderlecht's win in the Belgium Cup.
Conor O’Brien scored from the spot in Wiener Neustadt's 2-0 win over Altach.
Josh Gatt (Molde) is still out injured.
South of the Border
Herculez Gomez and Jose Torres both started for Tigres on Thursday in the first leg of their Liguilla semifinal match against Toluca. The game ended in a 0-0 draw, and the second leg is Sunday evening.
