WWE's Top Tweets, Instagram Photos and Viral Videos for Week of December 1

With as explosive as CM Punk's comments were on Colt Cabana's podcast, it's no surprise that he dominated the week's WWE-related social media.

When the best tweets, videos and Instagram photos weren't flashing back to great fan reactions or showing off Chris Jericho's Throwback Thursday skills, they centered around Punk. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, he gave a long-awaited explanation of his departure on The Art of Wrestling podcast (contains NSFW language, a lot of it).

As a result, the wrestling world was abuzz with Punk-centric shareable items.

Firstly, Kayfabe News joked that the interview with Cabana overtook Raw in the ratings chase:

It didn't, but it sure generated a slew of headlines. Interest in the podcast also caused the server hosting the podcast to crash. As funny as he is, it's not every week that this many people are clamoring to hear Cabana's show.

WWE Creative Humor had fun with the idea of Punk's interview "breaking the Internet":

One of the bigger takeaways from Punk spilling his guts is just how bad his relationship with WWE was and is. It's looking more and more like he's gone for good. That's especially true when you factor in how much fun he's having post-wrestling.

Were he working WWE's grueling schedule, he'd have far less time to mix it up with the Los Angeles Kings' mascot Bailey.

He and Punk have traded verbal blows on Twitter several times before. In a bit for the Kings, the two got into a physical confrontation. Well, sort of.

The last real bump that Punk took was at the Royal Rumble, when Kane chokeslammed the concussed Superstar through a table.

With TLC fast approaching, tables and men crashing through them have been on fans' minds more than usual. WWE put together a well-produced collection of big moves that drove wrestlers through tables:

John Cena and Seth Rollins will be looking to add each other to that list of victims at the TLC pay-per-view on December 14. Should Cena lose, he gives up his No. 1 contender's status.

It's been a long while since fans have seen the belt he's chasing on TV. Brock Lesnar hasn't appeared on Raw since the show leading up to Night of Champions.

The "Vacant" Twitter addressed the idea that the world title has become vacant over that span:

Jericho, meanwhile, had fans traveling back to a time when his hair was long and so were his tassels. Back before he was Y2J, he was Lionheart. The heartthrob even had his trading card.

He shared a photo of it and what he looked like back then on Instagram:

Erick Rowan's contribution to Instagram is not as fun. It, however, perfectly captures his aura.

WWE took a shot of him entering the ring that showcases how haunting the big guy can be:

Rowan will get a crack at Big Show at TLC, hoping to create a memorable moment. Whatever happens in that collision, though, it's not going to top the shock of Lesnar defeating The Undertaker at WrestleMania or The Miz stealing away Randy Orton's world title.

Those moments have become iconic in part because of the fan reaction to them. They each made a key member of the crowd famous that night.

WWE compiled 10 of the better examples of fans losing it over what happens in the ring in the latest countdown video:

Should Punk ever patch things up with WWE and surprise fans with a return, count on more bug eyes and wide mouths. That's sure to create a reaction on par with watching Undertaker lose at WrestleMania for the first time.
