Lamar Miller, Daniel Thomas' Post-Week 13 Fantasy Reaction

Matt FitzgeraldDec 1, 2014

The Miami Dolphins' offense never really got rolling in Week 13's AFC East clash with the New York Jets. However, Dolphins running back Lamar Miller did just enough to appease fantasy owners with a four-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter of a 16-13 win.

Miami tried to take advantage of a depth-challenged Jets defensive backfield, yet quarterback Ryan Tannehill was frequently off-target amid the Jets' exotic, pressure-based schemes.

Miller has been a quality fantasy RB2 for most games this season, and nothing he did on Monday changed his status. Regardless of the matchup, the Dolphins' feature back is a pretty safe bet to score double digits in most fantasy formats.

Omar Kelly of the Sun-Sentinel spoke before the game about how Miller should be utilized more often:

While the more powerful Daniel Thomas remains the top handcuff option to pair with Miller, he doesn't get enough of the workload in Miami's ground game to be deployed in fantasy.

Only if Miller leaves the lineup with an injury should fantasy owners consider plugging Thomas in for a spot start.
