Hartline Leaves Game With Knee Injury
The Miami Dolphins will be without Brian Hartline for the duration of their Monday-night game against the New York Jets.
The team announced that the veteran wide receiver suffered a knee injury and won't return, per Adam Beasley of The Miami Herald:
After Miami's 16-13 win, Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post provided an update:
Hartline caught one pass for nine yards. Despite being one of Ryan Tannehill's top targets, the 28-year-old saw little of the field even before he was revealed to be out. Nathan Jahnke of Pro Football Focus tracked nine plays in which Hartline took part:
A 1,000-yard receiver in 2012 and 2013, Hartline's been a major disappointment this year. Heading into Week 13, he had 31 receptions for 360 yards and a touchdown.
His absence isn't likely to have a demonstrable impact on the Dolphins offense as long as Mike Wallace and Jarvis Landry stay healthy. Tannehill will have enough at his disposal to succeed.
