Julio Jones Records Career-High 189 Receiving Yards in Week 13

Bleacher Report MilestonesDec 1, 2014

Playing in his 46th regular-season NFL game, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones recorded a career-high 189 receiving yards in Sunday's 29-18 win over the Arizona Cardinals, per ESPN Stats & Info.

Despite spending most of the day lined up across from Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson, Jones finished with 10 receptions for 189 yards and a touchdown.

He had 132 of those yards in the first half alone, setting a personal career-best mark for receiving yards in a single half, per ESPN Stats & Info.

While now on pace for 109 catches, 1,559 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, Jones has flown somewhat under the radar in a season with no shortage of dominant wideouts.

The former Alabama Crimson Tide star ranks third in the NFL with 82 catches and 1,169 receiving yards, but his five receiving touchdowns are only good for a 16-way tie in 29th place.

Still, Jones will likely break the franchise single-season record for receiving yards, which was set by current teammate Roddy White (1,389) in 2010.

The 33-year-old White, who missed Sunday's game with an ankle injury, is responsible for four of the six best receiving campaigns in Falcons history, in addition to holding franchise records for career receptions (741), receiving yards (10,098) and touchdown receptions (60).

While it's still a long ways off, nobody will be surprised if Jones eventually surpasses all three records.
