We Remember: Diego Forlan's Brace Beats Liverpool for Man United at Anfield
Sean SwabyDec 1, 2014
Diego Forlan was never a huge success at Manchester United—between 2001 and 2004, he only scored 10 goals in 63 appearances with the Red Devils—but United (and Liverpool) fans will forever remember his exploits on the first day of December in 2002.
Forlan struck twice in a three-minute span to help Manchester United see off their hated rivals 2-1 at Anfield.
The Uruguayan star's goal in the 64th minute was largely as a result of Jerzy Dudek's gaffe in goal. His second goal in the 67th minute was a gem.
