Dwayne Bowe, Travis Kelce, Alex Smith's Post-Week 13 Fantasy Reaction
The Kansas City Chiefs' loss on Sunday night to the Denver Broncos is a perfect reason why Alex Smith isn't a great fantasy football quarterback.
Smith was extremely efficient against Denver, made all the more impressive by how cold it was inside Arrowhead Stadium. But even with that efficiency, Smith didn't have what you'd consider an outstanding game from a fantasy perspective.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Chiefs signal-caller is worth keeping around as a nice, safe backup. With the right matchup, he's more than capable of going off and being a top-five QB for that week.
Smith's success can't be chalked up to Dwayne Bowe, who remains without a touchdown in 2014. Travis Kelce, meanwhile, had a solid if unspectacular Sunday.

Until he can find the end zone, Bowe's not a smart pickup/start. He's not amassing enough yards to make up the point difference in the absence of touchdowns.
Kelce, on the other hand, is a good tight end to have if you weren't lucky enough to land Rob Gronkowski or Jimmy Graham. Tight ends are pretty much interchangeable outside of those two, and Kelce at least offers some consistency.
