Shane Vereen, Jonas Gray, LeGarrette Blount's Post-Week 13 Fantasy Reaction

Joseph ZuckerNov 30, 2014

Sunday wasn't the day to count upon a New England Patriots running back to carry your fantasy football team.

The trio of Shane Vereen, Jonas Gray and LeGarrette Blount all disappointed to varying degrees. The Patriots did notch one rushing touchdown in their 26-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers, but it came courtesy of Brandon Bolden.

Of the three aforementioned running backs, Blount and Vereen are the only two who look to have fantasy value in the coming weeks.

While Blount may continue eating into Vereen's carries, the latter's presence in the passing game will help make up for some of those lost touches.

Meanwhile, Blount picked up from where he left off last year with the Pats. Since joining New England, he's rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Fantasy owners should snap up the 27-year-old as soon as possible if he's still available.

Blount's rise has come at the expense of Gray, whose 201-yard outburst against the Indianapolis Colts feels like a lifetime ago.

At least he touched the ball against the Packers:

Gray has fallen just as quickly as he rose. Fantasy owners should react appropriately by offloading him from their teams.
