Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
ESPN Stats & Info noted how long it had been since Atlanta had as productive of a runner as Jackson was in Week 13:
Pro Football Focus fantasy expert Mike Clay was perplexed as to how Jackson produced against such a tough matchup:
Blocking has been an issue the Falcons haven't quite resolved in recent years, but the men in the trenches came to play Sunday, helping Atlanta stay tied atop the NFC South. Jackson did have a majority of his yards on one 55-yard carry, so his fantasy stock shouldn't exceed an RB2 level despite Week 13's encouraging effort.
With regard to Freeman and Rodgers, it's difficult to determine which is the better handcuff option. Since Jackson likely doesn't have many years left in the NFL, fantasy owners should play a wait-and-see approach, since both younger backs are explosive and capable of catching passes.
While Freeman seems like the more viable candidate to be the eventual workhorse, Rodgers packs a lot of power into his diminutive frame and could be an all-purpose dynamo if given the chance.
