Joe Flacco, Torrey Smith, Steve Smith's Post-Week 13 Fantasy Reaction
Very quietly, Torrey Smith has become one of the most reliable WR2 options in fantasy football.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Smith nabbed two touchdown passes on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers, marking the seventh time in Baltimore's last nine games that he's scored nine or more fantasy points for owners. After a slow start in which Steve Smith appeared to be Baltimore's top dog in the passing game, Torrey Smith has become the more reliable fantasy option.

Speaking of Steve Smith, outside of his big performance last week against the New Orleans Saints he's only outscored Torrey Smith in two of Baltimore's last eight games. Once a WR1 this season, Smith has become more of a streaky flex consideration in Baltimore's passing game.

Joe Flacco, meanwhile, has been a pretty streaky QB2 for most of his career. Very little has changed in that regard. Keep in mind that his 23 fantasy points on Sunday are skewed by the fact that he scored on a short touchdown run, an infrequent occurrence for Flacco.
If you have a trustworthy QB1, Flacco should spend the rest of the season on your bench. If you have a shakier, low-end QB1—or if you are in a deeper league—you can play the matchup game with Flacco.
Hit me up on Twitter—I'll answer your fantasy questions and make some corny jokes, too. It's more fun than being Richard Sherman when the San Francisco 49ers come to town.
