Arizona Cardinals vs. Atlanta Falcons: Live Score and Analysis for Arizona

Shaun ChurchNov 30, 2014

The Arizona Cardinals forgot there was a game on Sunday, as the Atlanta Falcons embarrassed Bruce Arians and his staff in every way imaginable, 29-18. Don't worry, though, it wasn't that close.

Arians' Cardinals (9-3) were out-coached, out-classed and out-manned against the Falcons (5-7). Quarterback Drew Stanton was inaccurate and rushed all game long, completing 24 of 39 passes (61.5 percent) for 294 yards, a late, meaningless garbage-time touchdown and two huge interceptions for a 72.0 passer rating.

He played far worse than his stats suggest.

Because he could not move the ball on offense, the defense was yet again on the field for too long. Ghastly offensive play led to the Falcons holding the ball for 37 minutes and racking up an incredible 500 yards of total offense.

The Cardinals are still in first place in the NFC West, but the way things are going, that won't be the case long.
