Oakland Raiders vs. St. Louis Rams: Live St. Louis Score and Analysis

Steven GerwelNov 30, 2014

The St. Louis Rams (5-7) humiliated the Oakland Raiders (1-11) with a 52-0 shutout victory.

The Raiders were coming off an inspiring win over the playoff-bound Kansas City Chiefs—their only win of the season—and Oakland gave San Diego a good fight the previous week. It appeared that the Raiders were becoming a competitive team, but this embarrassment was a major step backwards.

The Rams got off to a rolling start with a Tre Mason touchdown reception on the first drive of the game. The Rams scored 21 first-quarter points, and Mason finished with three total touchdowns—making him the first Rams back to punch in three scores in a game since Steven Jackson in October of 2008.

Tavon Austin also added a score on an 18-yard run, and receiver Stedman Bailey had a career-high 100 yards on five catches. The two second-year pros out of West Virginia added a major boost to the St. Louis offense.

The defense was equally impressive. The unit forced five turnovers, including three picks, and the Rams sacked the Oakland quarterbacks six times.

It was an all-around victory for the Rams. Every unit was dominant and the game plan worked flawlessly.

The Rams will travel east to take on the Washington Redskins next week. For Oakland, they'll hit the reset button and attempt to get it together next week against the San Francisco 49ers

Thank you for following, and be sure to stop by next week.
