Richard Sherman Mocks Colin Kaepernick's Passing After Thanksgiving Day Win
Richard Sherman made a promise and delivered on it Thursday night.
āI told [the 49ers] sideline if they threw it my way I would end the game,ā Sherman told ESPN.comās Terry Blount.Ā
This exact sequence played out on Thanksgiving, with Sherman grabbing two interceptions and snuffing out any chance the 49ers had of putting together a scoring drive during Seattleās 19-3 victory at Leviās Stadium.Ā
After the game, Sherman made a comment regarding Colin Kaepernickās earlier statement that he would āthrow to whoeverās openā when the two teams met Thursday night.
TheĀ Seahawks cornerback rehashedĀ Kaepernickās words:
Ā āThere was a guy, an opponent, who said that he was throwing to the open man. He didnāt care who was out there,ā Sherman said. āI was the open man.ā
Shermanās words are another handful of salt in the 49ersā wounds. After making his second interception, the Seahawks cornerback hushed the dwindling San Francisco crowd and later would eat turkey on the field alongside Russell Wilson. Sherman drank Kaepernickās milkshake during the game and ate his turkey afterward.Ā
While 49ers fans have plenty to be upset about while sorting through the rubble of this loss, they can at least take solace in one thing: Theyāll always have their yams.
