Louis Van Gaal Has Cheeky Dig at Manchester United's Official Twitter Account

Sean FayNov 28, 2014

Earlier this month, news that Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind could be out for six months spread like wildfire after a tweet from the club's official account.

It turned out the person operating the account had simply not heard the Dutch manager correctly, but Van Gaal made sure that did not happen again on Friday.

During his press conference for Saturday's match with Hull City, Van Gaal was asked for an injury update about Luke Shaw (2:18 in the video above).

His response, as per the BBC, was priceless.

"Last time I said something about injuries it was not interpreted so well. So, Manchester United Twitter, pay attention," he said before reading a statement about Shaw from his medical advisor.

He then revealed that Shaw would be out "for a few weeks" but said his ankle ligament injury was not serious.

Unsurprisingly, the official account made sure they got it all right this time.
