
#Putoutyourbats Hashtag Spreads Around the World in Tribute to Phillip Hughes
The sporting world is still in a state of shock after the Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes tragically died on Thursday, two days after being struck by a bouncer in a Sheffield Shield match.
Many people wanted to pay their respects and a simple, yet effective, way of remembering the 25-year-old has emerged on social media.
The hashtag #Putoutyourbats has been shared around the world, with people doing just that, putting out their bats for Hughes.
A number of current and former players have got involved, showing that they are thinking about Hughes and his family.
