Ravens Rookie Was Late to Team Meeting Because He Was Building a Snowman

Kyle NewportNov 27, 2014

Baltimore Ravens rookie Timmy Jernigan is from Florida, so snow is a bit foreign to him. Seeing snow for the first time ever was so mind-blowing that it wound up making him late to a team meeting.

When Baltimore received some snow Wednesday, the 22-year-old rookie out of Florida State made the most of his first experience with it. He did what anyone would in their first encounter and went out to play in the snow after practice.

According to The Baltimore Sun's Jon Meoli, a Ravens employee taught Jernigan how to build a snowman.

That would have been fine if Jernigan didn't have somewhere else to be.

Jernigan thought his team's defensive meeting was at 4 p.m. ET. The only problem was that it had been moved up to 3:30 p.m.

Luckily, a team official came out quickly to let him know that he was missing a meeting. Jernigan's snowman had to be abandoned before it was finished.

So, in conclusion, yes, the rookie defensive tackle was late to a team meeting because he was building a snowman.

The coaching staff can't even be mad, because it's just too funny.
