Matt Forte, Ka'Deem Carey's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 13
Matt Forte doesn't need those silly rushing yards to be productive in fantasy circles.
With absolutely nothing going against the Detroit Lions' ferocious run defense on Thursday, Forte, as he always does, found a way to contribute elsewhere:
| Matt Forte | 5/6 | 0 | 9/6/52 | 0 | 5.8 |
| Kadeem Carey | 2/8 | 0 | 1/1/7 | 0 | 1.5 |

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This is pretty much a worse-case scenario for Forte. The Lions entered the week with the league's best run defense, and Chicago almost immediately became one-dimensional.
Yet he still produced 58 total yards and in PPR formats was quite serviceable. His ability to produce both in the running and passing game makes him one of the few matchup-proof backs in the NFL. He's a top-five RB week-in and week-out.
NFL writer Dan Pompei put it simply:
"13. The two best parts of Matt Forte’s game (and he has a lot of good parts) are consistency and availability. So valuable.

With the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints up next on the schedule, Forte is going to be carrying a lot of fantasy teams on his back in the playoffs.
As for Kadeem Carey, he remains the unhindered No. 2 and stands to gain a lot of work should something happen to the incumbent. The 22-year-old rookie has looked very capable in the running game and is a smart handcuff to own down the stretch, especially for Forte owners.
