Ludogorets vs. Liverpool: Goals, Highlights from Champions League Match
Simon Mignolet went into Liverpool's vital Champions League clash at Ludogorets facing a barrage of criticism from former Reds shot-stopper Bruce Grobbelaar.
The Belgian did himself no favours in the third minute of the match in Sofia when he spilt an ambitious 30-yard shot by Marcelinho straight to the feet of Dani Abalo, who duly put the home side ahead.

Liverpool, however, needed only five minutes to bounce back against the Bulgarian minnows, with Ricky Lambert taking advantage of some woeful defending to head in his second Liverpool goal.

In the 37th minute, Liverpool finally took the lead—arguably against the run of play—when Raheem Sterling played a superb cross to Jordan Henderson, who squeezed the ball past Ludogorets keeper Vladislav Stoyanov.
"Rickie Lambert scores in back-to-back games, something Mario Balotelli hasn't done since March (for Milan vs. Chievo & Fiorentina).

Despite a poor performance, Liverpool looked like they would hold on and take three vital points. However, Ludogorets won a corner in the 88th minute, which Georgi Terziev headed in from six yards.

The last time the Bulgarians scored a late goal against the Reds, Steven Gerrard was able to score an even later dramatic winner. There was no such fortune in Sofia, however, as the game ended honours even at 2-2.
