Gay Injures Achilles
Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay is dealing with right Achilles tendinitis that will force him to miss at least one more game. He already missed the team's clash with the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday due to the lingering issue.
Jason Wise of the team's official site provided the update.
"After missing Tuesday's game in New Orleans with right Achilles tendinitis and being listed as questionable for the previous several games, Rudy Gay has been removed from the lineup and will miss his second consecutive game Wednesday against the Houston Rockets (11-3)," Wise wrote.
Gay dealt with an Achilles issue last season as well. It popped back up last week, which has left his status up in the air on a nightly basis. Now it sounds like Sacramento is going to give him at least a little time on the sideline to see if he can shake it off.
