Lucha Underground: TV Schedule, Start Time and Preview for November 26

Donald WoodNov 25, 2014

There are many wrestling companies in the world, but few have captured the attention of American fans like Lucha Underground has since making its debut on the El Rey Network just over a month ago.

Last week’s episode featured a vicious beatdown from Big Ryck and the Crenshaw Crew on Johnny Mundo in the main event. On Wednesday, Mundo’s friend Prince Puma will go one-on-one with Big Ryck in the main event with a street fight stipulation.

Add in that Sexy Star will continue looking for retribution against Chavo Guerrero, Mil Muertes is still looking to create havoc and Lucha Underground owner Dario Cueto is always stirring up trouble, and this show is becoming a favorite for wrestling fans.

Here is all the vital viewing information for this week’s Lucha Underground and a preview of the main event.

Date: Wednesday, November 26

Start Time: 8 p.m. ET

Watch: El Rey Network

Breaking Down the Main Event

For those who haven't seen Lucha Underground yet, one of the show’s most important characters is Prince Puma.

Puma is managed by wrestling veteran Konnan and is in Lucha Underground to be the top star in the business. After fighting against Johnny Mundo on the opening episode, the two men found themselves teaming up against Big Ryck and his stable, the Crenshaw Crew.

After watching Mundo get put through a table at the hands of Ryck and his boys, Konnan is having second thoughts about Puma accepting a no-rules stipulation against the former street fighter.

Fortunately for hardcore wrestling fans, Puma will take on the challenge.

Wrestling fans may know Puma as Ricochet from the independent wrestling circuit, but he has taken this character and run with it. He has showcased his ability in the ring and has become one of the most marketable stars in the company.

Big Ryck has mainstream notoriety as former WWE Superstar Ezekiel Jackson, and the battle against Puma Wednesday should help continue building the young star’s credibility. As seen in the preview video, the Crenshaw Crew gets involved, but Puma is more than able to hold his own.

It's likely the numbers game will eventually catch up with Puma, and that will be the cue for Mundo to hit the ring and make the save. Mundo is teasing tension with Cueto and Big Ryck, and the possibility of Mundo and Puma teaming up against Ryck and a wrestler Cueto brings in would be an intriguing possibility.

With a legitimate storyline that fans can’t help but care about and top-notch in-ring work from all parties involved, wrestling fans who have not given Lucha Underground a chance are missing out.

For those that watch already, enjoy Prince Puma stealing the show again.
