Report: News on WWE's Plans for Sting Going Forward
Legendary WCW star Sting made his debut for WWE at Survivor Series—although, per a recent report, fans may want to rule out the veteran appearing on television this week.
"For those of you wondering if Sting will appear on Monday Night Raw tonight, I am told the plan was for him to only appear on the PPV this week," noted Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com.
Interestingly, Johnson went on to say that Sting vs. The Undertaker is still tentatively scheduled for WrestleMania 31 next year, even though the ending of Survivor Series appeared to signal a Sting-Triple H clash at the show instead.

Sting ran in out of nowhere and had a long and tense confrontation with The Game before hitting him with a Scorpion Death Drop. He then threw Dolph Ziggler on top of Seth Rollins to ensure Team Cena's victory in the main event.
Johnson wrote:
"Obviously everyone is asking if Sting is going to wrestle Triple H. As I noted in the Elite section over the weekend, the expectation is that Sting will wrestle Undertaker at Wrestlemania 31 (and on Friday, when I first heard Sting would be at Survivor Series, I was told this was all part of a plan for that match at Mania), but there is also that little show called The Royal Rumble coming up in January in Philadelphia, so we shall see.
"
Sting being kept off television for now is probably a wise move on WWE's part. Sure, he might be able to pop a good rating, but the last thing you want is to overexpose him to the masses.
For now, fans should have to make do with short, tantalizing appearances—which will serve to leave them eager for more.
As for Sting's WrestleMania bout, the bookers have an interesting option in front of them.

They can elect to stick with the long-term plan and go with Sting vs. The Undertaker—which is a dream match for many fans but probably won't deliver in the ring, due to the ages and ailing physical conditions of both men.
Or they can go in a bold new direction and script Triple H to be his opponent, a match that almost certainly would be very good. Triple H will surely be able to carry the legend to something great.
However, whether it would have the same nostalgic appeal as Undertaker-Sting remains to be seen.
