Tottenham Hotspur Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of November 24
With the pending arrival of Southampton scouting "guru" Paul Mitchell, Tottenham's January transfer plans are unlikely to be set in stone.
Nevertheless, the proximity of the winter window means that Spurs are being linked with plenty of players to subsidise an already bloated squad.
Unconvincing form in the Premier League means that there are few players who can be certain of their places in the first team. That adds grist to the rumour mill, and Spurs are certain to be connected with many, many players in the coming weeks.
For now, here are the best transfer rumours for the week.

Spurs Battling Arsenal for Croatian Midfielder
1 of 3
Tottenham have reportedly joined Arsenal in the race to sign Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to Chisanga Malata of the Daily Star.
Arsenal have been linked consistently with the skillful midfielder, according to Neil Moxley of the Sunday People (h/t Will Giles of the Metro), but are unlikely to be able to offer regular football given the number of similar players they already have on their books.
Arsenal's apparent hesitation has allowed Spurs to act, but Zagreb chairman Zdravko Mamic says they will have to "knock [him] off [his] feet" to secure the Croatia international's signature, per Sportski.net (h/t the Daily Star).
The 22-year-old Brozovic has risen to prominence recently, with his performances for Zagreb earning him a surprise place in the World Cup squad.
The young attacking midfielder should not compared with former Tottenham star Luka Modric. He is more prolific and plays higher up the pitch. He has scored just once this season but produced four assists in 12 appearances, per Transfermarkt.
Roma Persisting in Lamela Pursuit
2 of 3
Erik Lamela endured a terrible first season but has found his feet in England this year. Mauricio Pochettino has shown faith in his Argentinian countryman and has been rewarded with vastly improved performances.
Despite the fact that Lamela is now a valued part of the Tottenham team, Tom Collomosse of the London Evening Standard notes Italian reports claim that former club Roma are keen to reunite with him.
Roma are flying high in Serie A and the Champions League and could probably afford to repay the club-record fee that Spurs paid to acquire him in 2013, but it is unlikely that Spurs would be willing to make the deal.
Adebayor Exit Remains on the Cards
3 of 3
Tottenham are keen to get rid of Emmanuel Adebayor and may have found a buyer in the form of Turkish giants Galatasaray. Perennial title challengers, Gala are trailing Besiktas by one point and are looking for additional firepower.
According to reports in Turkey (h/t Jamie Anderson of the Express), Cesare Prandelli is keen on Adebayor and willing to commit to substantial sales to fund the deal.
If Galatasaray are willing to make any kind of an offer, it is likely that Spurs would accept. Adebayor has been much maligned during his time at Tottenham. Unable to get out from under his Arsenal and money-chasing past, his conduct has often also been questionable.
Excellent in his debut season on loan from Man City, Adebayor has been fitful since joining permanently.
His departure would please the majority of fans, but Spurs are unlikely to raise significant funds from his sale. It would also handcuff Tottenham to his equally inconsistent colleague, Roberto Soldado.
