Milan Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of November 24
It's not really a love triangle. It's a lot more complicated than that.
And Giampaolo Pazzini is at the centre of it.
AC Milan, Genoa and Sampdoria all could figure into the future of the 30-year-old striker, who has hardly played for Milan.
Scratch that—he hasn't started a competitive match since May.
Pazzini doesn't stir any controversy. He doesn't say the wrong things in public. He is very professional, spending more time doing video promos than playing.
His contract expires at the end of the season, and Milan would be wise to ship him out in January before losing him for nothing.
Here are the latest Milan transfer rumours.
Pazzini off to Genoa?
1 of 1
According to respected journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Pazzini has two options.
The first is a return to Sampdoria, where he "left friends and good memories." However, Milan want Stefano Okaka in exchange, and coach Sinisa Mihajlovic does not want to sell the 25-year-old striker this winter.
It's even harder to contemplate Genoa.
It's understood that Pazzini does not want to betray Sampdoria or their fans. However, in the event that business is done, Milan could theoretically recall Alessandro Matri—who has five goals and three assists—and send Pazzini the other way.
"The certainty is that he’ll leave," writes Di Marzio. "The destination is unsure."
