Matt Forte, Ka'Deem Carey's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 12
When you are considering whether you should start or sit Matt Forte on a weekly basis, ask yourself one question: Is he hurt?
If the answer is no, you start him, each and every week.
In Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Forte again reached the end zone and reached double-digit fantasy points for the seventh time in the last eight games. So consistent is Forte that he's only failed to reach seven fantasy points once this season.

Sure, he might have the occasional off week, though historically those have generally come few and far between. Because of his ability to make an impact in the Chicago Bears passing game, Forte nearly always posts RB1 numbers and continues to be a yardage monster. Start him with confidence.
When you are considering whether you should start or sit Ka'Deem Carey on a weekly basis, ask yourself the same question as above: Is Forte hurt?
If the answer is no, you sit Carey each and every week.
Carey is a solid handcuff to own, sure, but unless Forte is hurt he has absolutely no fantasy value. This is Forte's backfield and he isn't about to relinquish his three-down role. Carey deserves a spot on fantasy benches, especially for Forte owners, but that's about it.
