Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb's Post-Week 12 Fantasy Reaction

Timothy RappNov 23, 2014

Even if Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb combined to score five fantasy points this week, I'd still tell you all three were weekly starters and some of the top options at their respective positions. I'd also tell you to look out your window, because a flock of flying pigs was soaring by.

Suffice to say, the trio scored far more than a combined five points on Sunday. Sorry, folks, there aren't any bacon strips flying past your house.

Rodgers is having another MVP-esque season, so you'd be crazy to ever sit him. There aren't many matchup-proof players in fantasy, but Rodgers is absolutely one of them.

Nelson and Cobb are pretty close to that status, too. The pair entered Week 12 as the Nos. 2 (Nelson) and 6 (Cobb) receivers in fantasy points scored this season, and to this point we haven't really been given an indication that Green Bay's offense won't be able to consistently support that level of production. Neither had a big game in Week 12, no, but that is exception this season, not the norm.

When in doubt, ask yourselves the following question—would you rather bet on the above trio being productive, or on a defense actually slowing them down?

Chances are, the smart money is always going to be on Rodgers, Nelson and Cobb.

Hit me up on Twitter—I'll answer your fantasy questions and make some corny jokes, too. It's more fun than imagining what Mike Evans will do for an encore after his monstrous rookie season.
