
St. Louis Rams vs. San Diego Chargers: Live San Diego Score and Analysis
Marcus Gilchrist sealed a 27-24 victory for the host Chargers with a late interception of Shaun Hill on Sunday.
The Rams moved the ball down to the opponent's four-yard line in the final minute of play, and Hill had his intended pass to Kenny Britt picked off by a nearby Gilchrist. San Diego (7-4) overcame three costly turnovers, including an interception from Philip Rivers that was returned 99 yards for a touchdown by Janoris Jenkins.
Ryan Mathews paced the Chargers rushing attack with 105 yards on 12 carries and had a rushing touchdown of 32 yards. Rivers went 29-of-35 for 291 yards and threw a touchdown pass to Keenan Allen, who finished with 104 yards receiving on six catches.

Stedman Bailey had seven catches for 89 yards and his touchdown catch of seven yards pulled St. Louis (4-7) within three points with 2:04 remaining. Tre Mason ran for 62 yards and Hill finished with 198 yards passing but had all three of the Rams turnovers (two picks, one fumble).
The Chargers fell into an early hole after Rivers' pick-six, but the offense executed the two-minute drill to perfection in the final 1:31 before intermission to set up Nick Novak's 48-yard field, trimming the deficit to 10-6. After Mathews scampered into the end zone from 32 yards out, Andrew Gachkar returned Hill's fumble 13 yards for a score on the ensuing drive, pushing San Diego's lead to 20-10.
Tavon Austin took a handoff from six yards out and scored on an end-around to pull the Rams within three and conclude the scoring in the third quarter. Allen capped an 11-play, 93-yard drive with a 29-yard scoring play on a screen pass as San Diego drained 7:16 off the clock, and St. Louis responded with a long drive of its own to set up Bailey's pivotal touchdown catch.
