Cabaye Suffers Injury
The 28-year-old former Newcastle United player left the pitch in favor of Clement Chantome in the 21st minute with PSG leading 2-0. According to ESPN.com's Jonathan Johnson, it may have been one of Cabaye's final appearances for the Parisians:
Cabaye is very much on the transfer radar, and former Newcastle star Olivier Bernard views a return to the English Premier League as a foregone conclusion come January, per his column in The Chronicle:
"Yohan did not join PSG with any guarantees that he would be starting games and the problem for him is that when he has been playing or starting, he's been struggling to really make the sort of impact that he made with Newcastle.
He will be back in England in January, absolutely no doubt. He will come back to the Premier League and he will already be looking for a club to join that will get him the games that he needs to guarantee him a place in the France squad.
"
It remains to be seen if Cabaye has played his last match as a member of PSG, but an injury certainly seems to complicate things.
