Carr Undergoes Surgery, Will Return to Camp on Tuesday

Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News reported on the procedure and said it's undetermined if Carr will travel with the team for its preseason game against San Diego on Thursday.
On Aug. 8, head coach Jason Garrett said Carr sustained the injury in press coverage and it's unclear when he'll return, according to Machota.
Rainer Sabin of the Dallas Morning News said Garrett compared the injury to the one DeMarco Murray, who played the following game against the Indianapolis Colts, sustained last season.
Carr has been highly durable since coming into the league in 2008. He's never missed a regular-season game across seven seasons, first with the Kansas City Chiefs and now with the Cowboys.
Once Dallas gets an update on his status, it will have a better idea of how to move forward and if the team will need to replace him in the lineup to begin the season. Whether that means bringing in reinforcements or something else is dependent on when the veteran is expected back in action.
More information about his availability will be passed along as it is announced.
