Marshawn Lynch Reaches 10,000 Career Scrimmage Yards
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch recorded his 10,000th career scrimmage yard during Sunday's 19-3 win over the Arizona Cardinals, becoming the 96th player to reach said milestone, per Pro-Football-Reference.com.
Lynch was all but assured of reaching 10,000 during the contest, as he entered the game with 9,981 career scrimmage yards, just 19 shy of the mark.
Despite recording his second-worst rushing total of the season, Lynch managed to get there with ease, gaining 39 yards on 15 carries and 43 yards on three receptions.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He now has 10,063 career scrimmage yards, with 8,241 coming from his 1,945 carries and another 1,822 from 229 receptions. He sits in 95th place on the all-time scrimmage yards list, having passed Garrison Hearst's 10,031 during Sunday's game.
In an era of running backs largely defined by their work in the passing game, Lynch is a bit of an oddity, with 81.9 percent of his career scrimmage yards coming on the ground.
The 28-year-old former first-round draft pick ranks 16th in scrimmage yards among all active players, and he's seventh among active running backs, trailing only Steven Jackson (14,794), Frank Gore (13,521), Adrian Peterson (11,905), Maurice Jones-Drew (11,061), Matt Forte (11,005) and Chris Johnson (10,444) at the conclusion of Sunday's NFL action.
Of that group, only Lynch and Peterson have gained more than 80 percent of their yards from carries, with Peterson's 85.6 percent easily setting the standard.
Lynch may eventually dip below that 80 percent mark, as he's proved to be a perfectly capable receiver over the past two seasons. Last year, he set a personal best with 316 receiving yards, a mark he's just 26 yards away from matching in 2014.
With 290 receiving yards through 11 games, Lynch has compiled 25.4 percent of his yards through the air, putting him above 25 percent for the first time as a member of the Seahawks.
