Gerard Pique Not Going Anywhere

1 of 3

The future of Gerard Pique has been in question for some time now with the defender struggling to be a regular face in the lineup. However, he is not planning on going anywhere.

In an interview with Movistar TV, reported by Hamish Mackay of the Daily Mail, the La Masia graduate had the following to say about his future at the club.

"

I think not to play two or three matches (and then leave) would not be consistent. Barcelona is my life and I do not plan to leave. I will continue to fight for a place. It is a player-coach relationship, he is the one who decides and players try to do what he wants from us.

"

If Pique has anything to say about the matter, he is not leaving the Camp Nou anytime soon.

Dani Alves Leaving the Camp Nou?

2 of 3

Dani Alves will not be at Barcelona for much longer. At least, that is the general consensus of the Barcelona faithful. He is out of contract soon and clubs are already lining up for his signature.

According to a recent report from Jamie Anderson of the Express, there are three major clubs in the race for Alves at this point—Juventus, Manchester United and Arsenal.

Alves has had a wonderful career to this point and is looking to continue his footballing life. A move away from Barcelona may be the very best thing for him at this point, but will his move wait until the summer?

Messi Dropping Exit Hints

3 of 3

Lionel Messi is Barcelona through and through and would never leave the Catalan giants. But wait; could the Argentinian actually be open to an exit before the end of his career? If you read between the lines, that may actually be a possibility.

In an exclusive one-on-one interview with Messi, Argentina paper Ole (translation by Sport Witness) quoted him on the possibility of a exit from the Camp Nou. The 27-year-old had the following to say:

"

Today I live in the present. I want to make a great year and win titles with Barcelona. And nothing more. Then we’ll see. Football takes many turns… While I always said that I would always stay there, sometimes not everything happens the way you want.

Yes, I said it many times. That if I had my way I would stay forever. But as I just said, it’s not always given that you get everything you like. More so in football, which is constantly changing and so many things happen. It’s complicated.

"

There you have it. Is Messi dropping hints about a potential exit, or is he simply being realistic about the fact that football is unpredictable?
