After holding out hope that Alford could return this season, the Falcons provided an update on Alford's status:

The Falcons announced Alford as inactive for their Week 15 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Alford previously missed the team's contests in Week 14, Week 13 and Week 12, as the team announced prior to those games.
Alford Diagnosed with Broken Wrist

The Atlanta Falcons have been torched by opposing passing games all season long. Things aren't about to get any easier for the league's 32nd-ranked pass defense, as cornerback Robert Alford has suffered a wrist injury.

The Falcons later updated Alford's status and recovery time, via Jay Adams of AtlantaFalcons.com:
Alford, 26, has played in 10 games this season, registering 31 tackles, three interceptions and 11 pass deflections. The second-year player has shown flashes this season and is a key member of a young secondary, pairing with fellow second-year corner Desmond Trufant.
With Alford down, an already woeful secondary just got even worse.
