ESPN's Adam Schefter 'Reveals' That His Phone Is Loaded with Women's Numbers
ESPN's Adam Schefter is one of the best NFL reporters in the world, and he likely keeps his phone with him at all times. However, that doesn't mean he uses it solely for business purposes.
In an NFL media roundtable conducted by Sports Illustrated's Richard Deitsch, NFL reporters answered a number of questions about their work. One query asked how many contacts each media member had in his phone. Schefter provided the best answer.
"SI.com: Roughly how many phone numbers related your job do you have in your cell phone or blackberry or wherever your contact list is?
[others answered]
Schefter: Don’t know exact and don't count. But know the last time I changed PDA's at ESPN and they had to download my contact list, the IT man told me I had over 6,000. But, please understand that I was single for 20-plus years. A lot of those numbers are women I once dated.

That makes you wonder how many gigabytes Schefter needs. It might even be worth it for him to have two phones—one for work and one for his personal life.
There's a lot of good stuff shared in the roundtable, so it's worth a read. Although this little snippet provides a bit of a chuckle, the panel does provide good information about covering the NFL.
