"Cleveland Browns The Sleepers In The Upcoming 2009 Season"

The NFl has the Cleveland Browns in the power rankings 31st just in front of the St.Louis Rams. Nfl analysts believe that we will be a joke like we were last year. The benefit of having doubters is flying under the radar and getting it done on the field.  The reason i will prove and show to you that the browns will be a good team this year are 3 different reasons that i will explain in detail why.

1. Eric mangini as a head coach he was 10-6 , then he went 4-12 with alot of injuiries such as chad pennington not being healthy alot of problems on the o-line. The following year he went 8-3 then with a late collaspse which you can soley base on brett farve touchdown interception ratio they did not make the playoffs because of his shoulder he played hurt. So in the 3 years he had with the new york jets he realistically should have been 2 playoffs births and 1 loosing season not to bad i would say so myself.  Mangini was a ballboy for the browns he knows how important winning is in this city and how we bleed , sweat , and cry orange and brown. lerner hired mangini because we needed someone who was a good coach and tough on disiplne something the browns lacked with former coach romeo crennel. Mangini isn't rebuilding he is trying to win right away he hates to loose he has emotion on the field which we need and sets a fire under his team to motivate them the right way.

2. Rob Ryan his brother his dad they were born for greatness and this is why. In 2006 he led the nfl in pass defense and ranked third in total defense with players that werent' stand outs except for warren sapp and Derrick burgess. 2007 he ranked third his defense in passes intercepted ,  and 8th in the nfl in pass defense those seem like pretty respectable numbers considered to since we have come back we haven't even come close to that. He said he is implementing and attacking defense that the offenses won't know what hit them. I belive he is true to his word he will use wimbley and show his ability to be a great player like he was his first year. Thg ufo defense will be implemented i cannot wait to see what are defense will be ranked this year i can gurrantee you this it will be in the top 10 . Defense wins games not offense the patriots proved that when the giants shut down tom brady in the superbowl. As for are corners look for brandon mcdonald to have a break out year he is quick and jumps the routes well after the denver game he didn't allow a pass completion over 10 yards or more he is still young and ryan will bring out the best of him look for him to be a big playmaker this year.

3.  Now finally we get to the offense regardless who is quarterback i believe the first step to being a good team is a powerful run game . Jamal lewis will be a featured 3rd and short back and Jerome harrison will take most of the carries mangini compared him to leon washington. Last year the browns had there longest run by him with a 75yard screen pass from brady quinn. HE averages 7.2 yards a carry his agility , and quick cuts and speed is exactly what we need when we go against these defenses in the afc north. Are receivers robiskie i believe will have desean jackson numbers this year if they use him effectively . He doesn't have the speed of jackson but his quick route running and good hands and tall frame make him a threat. He is the most nlf ready receiver that we have right now . Braylon depending on what happens to him will put up huge numbers he might not want to play in cleveland , but he is gonna have to play well this year it's contract year and that means big money and he is all about that. When he has his head on right he is one of the most biggest threats in the nfl so with him it's a jekyl and hyde theory which braylon will we see this year in 2009. 

In closing we will talk about the most contoversial position that will be going on in training camp Brady quinn and Derek Anderson people have there opinions who they want the " The Longtime Browns fan" , or the " The gunslinger " I believe that quinn this is his first year to show that he has it to be the browns starter we gave up a first round pick to get this guy so why not give him a shot. Anderson people say had a sophmore slump had a break out year 29 td's , then he had only 9 td's. I believe it was a one hit wonder he has a cannon for an arm but he doens't have the football iq. If he was so good why couldn't he beat out kyle boller or steve mcnair why did ozzie newsome one of the best to judge talent cut him from the ravens. WAs he a diamond in the rough or a one hit wonder. During the 2007 season his first 6 games were amazing watching it you couldn't belive it with your own eyes. Then his play began to diminish the reason i think that is is because defenses started to watch film and he would never check down receivers. After the ball was snapped you could be in your living room and know who he was gonna throw to before the ball was released. He thought is arm was strong enough to throw into double coverage , throwing when he knew a safety was coming over the top. I think he had his time to shine so let's give somebody else a chance. Now with quinn you get into that he can't throw the long ball please people who say that haven't watched him then , during notre dame he threw 40yard bombs , 50 yard and 60. He doesn't do it as much because he wants to do the safe throw and move the chains he is a clock managing quarterback. He is good at reading defenses and when the pocket breaks down he can run for the first down. Brady quinn i do not know if he will be great or a dud but he can't do any worse then 9 touchdowns . i will leave you with this who was the last brown to throw for a touchdown last year i will give you a hint it wasn't Derek anderson.
