Vikings Coach Mike Zimmer Calls out Soldier Field for Clock Problems

Kyle NewportNov 16, 2014

There were serious issues with the clock at Chicago's Soldier Field during Sunday's game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears, and Vikings coach Mike Zimmer was none too pleased about it.

The stadium's clocks malfunctioned at times throughout Minnesota's 21-13 loss to Chicago. It got so bad in the fourth quarter that the final minutes were played without the clock working.

Per the Chicago Sun-Times' Seth Gruen, the referees kept track of the time and gave periodic updates throughout the final minutes.

Not having a functioning clock in a competitive divisional game did not sit well with Zimmer. Warning: The video below contains language NSFW.

Zimmer has always been known to speak his mind. He had an issue with the Soldier Field clocks, and he let everyone know what he thought of the situation.

The Bears have issued a statement regarding the clock malfunctions, per Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times.
