Aaron Rodgers Says He Strained His Back Standing Around During Bears Blowout

If you’re looking to push a lingering Chicago Bears fan over the brink of oblivion, feel free to read to him some recent admissions made by Aaron Rodgers.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback dropped a few lines during his Milwaukee radio show Tuesday. Specifically, he told listeners that his back feels a little tight from standing around so much during the second half of Sunday’s 55-14 gutting of the Bears.

ESPN.com’s Rob Demovsky brings us a transcript of the conversation.

My low back was actually hurting…I think I attributed that to standing around the entire time as the second half went on, not [from] anything that happened on the field…The guys took really good care of me on the field. I barely got touched all game, but my back actually got a little tight on the sideline…I forgot what a strain that can be to stand there and watch.

Whether this is Rodgers sticking the knife in Chicago and twisting the handle until it breaks, well, only he knows his true intent.

Rodgers, who threw an NFL-record-matching six touchdowns in the first half of the contest, will face a tougher challenge Sunday with the 7-2 Philadelphia Eagles coming to town. The Eagles defense has racked up 32 sacks, seven interceptions and 15 forced fumbles so far this season.

As for Rodgers' back pain, he can likely avoid future issues by not throwing so many touchdowns and killing me in fantasy football. I'm not a doctor, but this seems like a surefire cure for winner's back.
