Tyler Ennis, T.J. Warren Sent to D-League by Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns are off to a 5-3 start to the 2014-15 NBA season, but they are making some changes to their roster. Rookies Tyler Ennis and T.J. Warren have been assigned to the team's D-League affiliate in Bakersfield, according to the Suns' official Twitter account:
However, the news is not all bad for the two rookies. Per head coach Jeff Hornacek, their stints in Bakersfield will be short:
Ennis and Warren haven't made a dent in the early part of this season, though they also haven't had many opportunities to do much. Ennis has played a total of 18 minutes in two games, averaging one point per game. Warren has barely sniffed the court, playing one minute so far.
The Suns do have a deep, talented roster that was going to make playing time hard to come by. Warren and Ennis will be given more chances in the future, especially since they were both top-20 picks in June's draft. The brief D-League stint just gives them a chance to stay fresh and loose.
