Verratti Out of Metz Match

Laurent Blanc has confirmed PSG will have to do without their midfielder when they take on Metz in Ligue 1 this weekend. Jonathan Johnson of ESPN FC tweeted:

Verratti Ruled Out of Italy Squad

Marco Verratti has pulled out of Italy's squad to face Croatia and Albania after succumbing to a niggling problem with his left adductor.

PSG's Marco Verratti has withdrawn from Italy squad for Croatia & Albania matches because of persistent left adductor problem. #Azzurri

Verratti recently missed Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League tie with APOEL, but he can now rest in preparation for the French side's Ligue 1 clash with Metz on Nov. 21.

The 22-year-old has been an ever present in Laurent Blanc's team this season—racking up 15 appearances across the domestic division and Champions League already—scoring one and assisting four in the process, per WhoScored.com.

Naturally combative and excellent at controlling possession, Verratti is certainly a major loss for an Italian side who are looking to topple Croatia at the top of their Euro 2016 group, before the friendly with Albania.
