Full Invicta 10 Card Announced for December in Houston

The Invicta 9 telecast informed us that Invicta 10 would take place in Houston and be headlined by an atomweight championship fight. On Tuesday, the company released the entire 10-fight card for the event.

Headlined by atomweight champion Michelle Waterson and challenger Herica Tiburcio, Invicta 10 will be held December 5 on UFC Fight Pass. The card is supported by bantamweights Tonya Evinger and Cindy Dandois in the co-main event.

Waterson looks to defend her atomweight strap for the second time after besting former champ Jessica Penne to take the belt. In her first title defense, she thrashed Yasuko Tamada to retain her strap.

As for Tiburcio, she is a top fighter from Brazil who presents an interesting challenge to The Karate Hottie. She is a spark plug of a fighter with good wrestling and a top-level submission game.

It should be a good scrap. It is a classic striker vs. grappler match that could result in another top-level bout.

The co-main event should be great as well. Evinger has looked much improved lately, as showcased in her tapout of Ediane Gomes. Dandois is making her much-anticipated return after spending over two years away from the cage, so it will be interesting to see where she's at.

Also on the card will be flyweights Roxanne Modafferi, Vanessa Porto, Jennifer Maia and DeAnna Bennett, who occupy the two fights under the main and co-main features. Both fights are vital to the division, as the winners could provide the next challenger to champion Barb Honchak.

There are also a ton of prospects on the card looking to make a name for themselves. Among those featured are Jinh Yu Frey, Alexa Grasso and Irene Aldana, all of whom will look to continue their march toward mainstream notoriety.
