Kevin Grady is likely to be with the team next month: "I say that, but he has a little bit more than two weeks of classes," Rodriguez said. "He takes care of what he's supposed to do academically, he'll be fully reinstated."

The prevailing view that Michigan will schedule Duke, UVA, Oregon State, or Pitt for the opener is wrong, according to a Michigan official. Who will it be? Stay tuned, as an announcement is expected shortly.

Michigan is in talks with former Michigan (and Stanford) QB Jason Forcier, brother of Tate and who has one year of eligibility remaining. "We're actively talking to Jason Forcier. That's the only thing we can say, we're talking to him," Rodriguez said, adding that he should know more within the week.
