Drake Wears Costanza Glasses and Dad Sweater to Raptors Game

Dan CarsonNov 10, 2014

The Toronto Raptors dismantled the Philadelphia 76ers 120-88 Sunday night, steamrolling Tony Wroten and some guys general manager Sam Hinkie found at the YMCA.

Drake was on hand for the contest, and it would appear the Raptors' "global ambassador" donned his finest substitute teaching attire to cheer on his team.

The Toronto Star's Bruce Arthur (h/t Micah Peters of For The Win) posted a Vine of Drake and his outfit. This is the height of paternal fashion.

Of course, fans loved Drake's look—especially his glasses, which appear to be from the George Costanza school of squintiness.

Others thought he looked more like Tobias Funke.

As for the sweater, Peters reports that the article is a piece from Kanye West's A.P.C. line, a collection founded on that bleeding edge of fashion where outfits look like the clothes your parents store in the guestroom closet but cost a lot of money.

So for $340, you could look like it's cold enough outside to no longer care how you look.

Also, to give you an idea of the ethos permeating the 76ers franchise this year, their Twitter account quoted Drake while telling fans the team lost by 32 points Sunday. So they got that going for them.

In any case, Drake isn't about to dress up for the 76ers. He's saving his white Frosty the Snowman outfit for Thursday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The Raptors play the Orlando Magic on Monday night.

He'll wear his finest Cosby sweater for that.
