With Jayson Tatum sidelined, Celtics' fourth-quarter comeback falls short in Game 7 loss to 76ers

The Black Caps' bowlers toiled at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, picking up just two wickets in the day, but NZ openers Brendon McCullum and Tom Latham managed to negotiate the final seven overs.

Pakistan resumed on 269-1 and added 78 runs in the morning session for the loss of centurion Ahmed Shehzad.

Shehzad had taken his tally from his overnight 126 to 176 when he mistimed a hook off Corey Anderson, and having been struck on the helmet, dropped his bat on the stumps.

The opener was taken to hospital, where it was shown that he had a depressed fracture of the zygomatic arch of the skull, according to a Pakistan Cricket Board press release.

The wicket ended a 169-run partnership with Azhar Ali, who fell 13 runs short of his century in the afternoon session.

Leg-spinner Ish Sodhi produced a beauty that pitched outside leg and hit the top of off stump to end his 215-ball vigil.

However, Pakistan’s experienced middle-order duo continued to pile on the runs with the pair bringing up their centuries within the space of four balls.

Younis brought up his fourth century in his last five Test innings as he punched McCullum down the ground for a single. His ton came up off 141 balls.

Misbah then drove down the ground to bring up his third consecutive century and immediately declared after hitting nine boundaries and a six in his 162-ball innings.
