Whisenhunt Speaks on McCluster's Status

Ken Whisenhunt updated Dexter McCluster's status following his injury on Sunday, via Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com and Titans 247:

As if losing Sunday to the Baltimore Ravens 21-7 wasn't bad enough for the Tennessee Titans, they also lost running back Dexter McCluster to an injury.

ESPN's John Clayton reported that the 26-year-old injured his knee:

After the game, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported that McCluster will have an MRI on Monday and that the Titans believe the problem to be relatively minor:

Since signing with Tennessee in the offseason, McCluster's failed to make much of an impact. In eight games this year, he has 76 rushing yards and 136 receiving yards, in addition to 95 punt-return yards.

Even if this injury turns out to be minor, it's another step backward in an already frustrating campaign.

McCluster will have an extra day to recover in Week 11 as the Titans don't play again until next Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
