Jerry Jones Disputes Dallas Cowboys Players Missed Curfew During London Trip

Timothy RappNov 9, 2014

The focus of the Dallas Cowboys was called into question ahead of their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

However, Jerry Jones has disputed reports that an alarming number of players missed their curfew Friday night. ESPN's Ian Fitzsimmons provides a synopsis of Jones speaking about previous reports:

Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported the story on Twitter Sunday morning:

That seemed like a few too many players for the "time difference" excuse to work.

Earlier in the week, Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News detailed the Cowboys' itinerary while in London:

Had there been a curfew, it would have been too many insubordinate players to simply brush the incident under the rug, especially with the team coming off two straight losses and conceding the top spot in the NFC East to the Philadelphia Eagles in the process.

The game in London is a business trip, but it's also a rare opportunity for players to enjoy a foreign country. While the Jaguars may not be a great team, they are still a team to be taken seriously.

If the Cowboys are approaching this game with a cavalier attitude, they could find themselves losers of three games in a row.
