FAVRE "GOOFS" VIKINGS: ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT YET AGAIN
ALBANY, NY (July 28, 2009) - As another NFL off-season comes to an end, so does another chapter in the ongoing Brett Favre saga entitled "Retirement 101." Mark it down on your calenders everyone, July 28, 2009-Brett Farve announces he will remain retired for the upcoming 2009-10 season. I hope you all wrote that down in pencil.
Farve, an 18 year NFL veteran and 10 time Pro-Bowler announced today that he will pass up on the Minnesota Vikings and remain in retirement. Iron-man Farve turns 40 years old in October and felt that his body and mind may not be able to last the long NFL season. Favre's decision leaves the Vikings with a serious question mark at quarterback.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Minnesota, who had believed the three-time MVP was all but signed and ready for camp is now stuck with inconsistent Tavaris Jackson, new acquisition Sage Rosenfels and unproven and untested John David Booty competing over the vacant QB position. The immediate choice seems to be the battle tested Jackson, but coach Brad Childress appears unsure.
“...“there's a point with Tarvaris of continuing to evolve as a quarterback, and while you'd like that process to happen immediately it doesn't always happen immediately. But there's not anything we're going to leave unturned in terms of free agency, draft – and that goes on until after the draft. You see who's out there, and by the same token Tarvaris is going to be here and we're going to continue to get him better." said Childress in a January statement.
Who will get the go come week one? Your guess is as good as mine. Free agency does not appear the way to go and the Vikings did nothing to improve their QB situation in the draft. One option that has yet to be explored is the signing of recently reinstated quarterback Michael Vick. Although unlikely, it would be an interesting finish to dramatic off-season for the Vikes.
