Nicklas Bendtner Wins 'Banter Battle' with Gary Lineker on Twitter

It is easy to make fun of Nicklas Bendtner, and he doesn't help himself with claims that he should be playing for Barcelona or Real Madrid, that he is one of the best players in the world or that he deserves his £50,000-a-week wages because he had to give up skiing. 

However, sometimes he does actually do some good things on the football pitch.

For instance, on Thursday night, he scored twice in Wolfsburg's 5-1 win against FC Krasnodar.

Former England international-turned-pundit Gary Lineker could not resist having a little dig.

Big Bendtner was watching you, Mr. Lineker, and he came up with a great response to the Match of the Day presenter's observation.

Lineker's response was that of a sheepish man who knew he had been "out-bantered."
